Sangpure™ Tablets & Liquid - Mode of Action
- Aloe vera (Kumari) :-
The study results demonstrated that the extracts of Aloe vera gel have anti inflammatory activity and suggested its inhibitory action on the arachidonic acid pathway via cyclooxygenase.
(J Ethnopharmacol. 1996 Dec;55(1):69-75)
- Haridra, Sariva, Manjishtha, Neem :-
These herbs show anti-inflammatory activity by suppressing the capacity of P. acnes-induced ROS(reactive oxygen species) and pro-inflammatory cytokines, the two important inflammatory mediators in acne pathogenesis.
(Phytomedicine. 2003 Jan;10(1):34-8)
- Fumaria indica (Pittapapda) :-
Fumaria indica dry extract (100, 200 and 400 mg kg-1) exhibited dose dependent and significant anti-inflammatory activity in acute (carrageenean and histamine induced hind paw oedema, p < 0.05) and chronic cotton pellet granuloma models of inflammation, p < 0.01).
(Acta Pharm. 2007 Dec;57(4):491-8)
- Azadirachta indica (Neem) :-
- Neem leaf and its constituents have been demonstrated to exhibit immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antihyperglycaemic, antiulcer, antimalarial, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, antimutagenic and anticarcinogenic properties.
(Curr Med Chem Anticancer Agents 2005 Mar;5(2):149-6)
- 2. Experiments in liquid culture suggested that the effect was fungistatic. Conidial germination of the commercially important obligate pathogen Sphaerotheca fuliginea (powdery mildew) was reduced to 11%. The results show that neem seed extracts possess antimicrobial activity with notable effects on some fungal phytopathogens.
(Phytoparasitica : 22 June 2001 pg. 441-450)
- Tinospora cordifolia (Guduchi) :-
An increase in serum cytokine (IL-1beta, IL-6, IFN-gamma levels and decrease in that of IL-10) was observed following challenge with LPS (lipopolysaccharide) in mice pretreated with G1-4A (arabinogalactan polysaccharide of Guduchi) as compared to the controls. In addition, G1-4A also modulated the release of nitric oxide by murine macrophages. Thus G1-4A appeared to induce 7tolerance against endotoxic shock by modulation of cytokines and nitric oxide.
