Pylsact Tablets - Mode of Action
- Surankand (Amorphophallus companulatus)
It corrects hepatic activity, regulates bowels and causes vasoconstriction of capillaries to arrest bleeding through piles mass.

The methanol extract of Amorphophallus campanulatus tuber, given orally at the doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg, showed significant analgesic activity.

- Bhallatak (Semecarpus anacardium)
It acts as an excellent anti-inflammatory agent. Also it helps strengthen the blood capillaries around rectal and anal area. It is occasionally used internally in small doses in rheumatism and piles.

- Lajjalu (Mimosa pudica)

Pylsact Ointment - Mode of Action
- Euphorbia nerifolia
Turmeric powder mixed with juice of Euphorbia nerifolia is recommended to be applied to piles.

- Aak (Calotropis procera)
Calotropis procera is an excellent anti inflammatory and also helps in the treatment of piles. Anti inflammatory efficacy of extracts of latex of Calotropis procera against different mediators of inflammation.

- Jaati (Jasminum grandiflorum)
Extract treated wounds were found to epithelize faster as compared to controls. Extract-treated rats exhibited 65% reduction in the wound area when compared to controls (54%). Demonstration of increased rate of wound contraction together with the biochemical and histological findings suggest the use of J. grandiflorum flower extract in the management of wound healing.

- Neem (Azadirachta indica)
Azadiracta Indica showed strong activity against tested bacterial strains. Therefore, we conclude that A. indica may prove to be a promising agent.

- Til oil (Sesamum indicum)
Seeds and oil treatment (250 mg and 500 mg/kg; po) in dead space wound model, produced a significant increase in the breaking strength, dry weight and hydroxyproline content of the granulation tissue. The results suggest that S. indicum seeds and oil applied topically or administered orally possesses wound healing activity.

- Thuhar (Euphorbia Nerifolia) and Aloe Vera
The above 2 herbs were found to be effective in experimental models. These plants have been screened scientifically for the evaluation of their wound healing activity in different pharmacological models and patients.
