Pylsact Tablets and Ointment - Diseases Managed
  • Hemorrhoids – more commonly known as piles:-
    It is also known as “Arsha” in Ayurveda. It is a very painful condition where the veins of the anal region get swollen and inflamed.

    Factors causing piles :-
    • Hereditary factors
    • Obesity
    • Sitting on hard seats
    • Chronic constipation
    • Diarrhea
    • Non vegetarian diet
    • Alcohol
    • Pregnancy

    Types of hemorrhoids :-
    • Internal piles: The inflamed veins are inside the rectum
    • External piles: The inflamed veins form a bulge around the anus

    Ayurveda describes two types of piles :-
    • Bleeding piles: Stools are streaked with blood. They could be painless
    • Non bleeding piles: These are painful bulges which do not bleed

    Symptoms & Signs:
    • Bleeding per rectum
    • Pain while passing stools
    • Itching around the anal area
    • Piles mass protruding out causing discomfort in sitting
    •  

    Ayurvedic Management :- Medication: Pylsact Tablets

    Useful herbs:
    1. Amorphophallus camapanulatus
    2. Zingiber officinale
    3. Plumbago zeylanica
    4. Cassia fistula
    5. Mimosa pudica
    6. Semecarpus anacardium

    Correct Diet/Dietary Regimen :-
    It is most important to follow a proper diet since piles arises due to improper eating habits as well Buttermilk is most advisable. Also old rice, food high in fibre, vegetables and fruits, whole grain cereals, Oat, horse gram, radish, ginger, ghee (Clarified butter). Avoid hot pungent and spicy food. Red meat and chilled drinks and ice creams should be avoided.

    Lifestyle changes :-
    • Avoid sedentary life
    • Avoid sitting on a hard surface for a prolonged duration
    • Avoid alcohol nicotine and caffeine in large amounts
    • Avoid constipation

    Yogic exercise :-
    Exercises are a must to regulate bowel movements and also to strengthen the rectal area. Yoga also improves digestion due to which relapse of the disease can be avoided.

    Asanas :-
    • Pawan muktasana
    • Ashvini mudra
    • Pranayam

    Ayurvedic application :- Pylsact ointment application after every evacuation or 3-4 times in a day.

    Hot fomentation :-
    People with piles should sit in a hot water tub twice daily to reduce inflammation. Turmeric and alum can be added to the water to reduce pain and bleeding.
     
  • Fissures :-
    Fissure in literal meaning is a crack formed along the anal and peri-anal area.

    Factors causing fissure :-
    • Prolonged sitting on hard surface
    • Obesity
    • Chronic constipation
    • Pregnancy
    • Heredity factors

    Symptoms of fissure :-
    • Pain while passing stools
    • Bleeding while passing stools
    • Severe pain in anal area
    • Itching around anal area

  • Fistula in ano:
    An anorectal fistula (Fistula-in-Ano) is an abnormal communication between the anus and the perianal skin.

    Symptoms :-
    • Chronic drainage of pus from the tunnel or fistula
    • Pain and inflammation around the fistula
    • Factors causing fistula in ano
    • Idiopathic (of unknown cause)
    • Patients with tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus
    • Trauma (especially obstetric - after traumatic delivery)
    • Pelvic inflammatory disease
