- Bronchitis :-
Bronchitis is the inflammation of the air passages or the bronchi due to infection or any other inflammatory reasons.
Causes of Bronchitis :-
- Bacterial infection
- Viral infection like influenza (flu)
- Allergens like tobacco smoke or dust
- Exposure to lung irritants for a prolonged period of time
Symptoms of bronchitis :-
- Dry or productive Cough
- Mucoid and yellowish sputum
- Forceful coughing
- Pain in the chest muscles
- Loss of appetite
- Episodic breathlessness
Ayurvedic management / Medication :- Bronkamune tablets, Bronkasav liquid
Dietary regimen :-
- Avoid rice, sugar, curd and other food which cause mucus
- Avoid chilled drinks and water
- Always prefer warm, nutritious and easily digestible food
- Include fruits which are high in Vit C
Lifestyle changes :-
- Identify and avoid allergens which aggravate the condition like fumes, dust etc.
- Avoid going out in chilly and humid weather
- Oil application to the entire body is helpful
- Exercise regularly

- Bronchial Asthma :-
Bronchial Asthma is known as Tamaka Shvasa in Ayurveda. Due to prolonged inflammation of the air passages, the lungs become highly sensitive and the air passages are narrowed which causes difficulty in breathing. The condition is developed due to hyper sensitivity of the air passages to allergens.
Causes of Bronchial Asthma :-
- Genetic factor
- Low immunity levels
- Repeated exposure to allergens like smoke, dust, pollution, molds and fungus
- Hypersensitivity to the pets
- Stress
- Physical and mental exertion
Symptoms of Bronchial Asthma
- Breathlessness or difficulty in breathing
- Wheezing
- Chest tightness
- Difficulty in speaking
- Restlessness and fatigue
- Severe Bouts of cough
